Creating a Green, Zero-Waste Factory Network

To support the development of Shanghais waste-free city recycling initiatives, Yeloworld Super Factory in Shanghai, a green recycling demonstration facility, spans 48,415 square meters (approximately 4.8 hectares) with a total construction area of 68,707.66 square meters. The project involves a total investment of RMB580 million, with an annual recycled plastics production capacity expected to reach 100,000 tonnes. Yeloworld is committed to building a modern, smart factory with networked production equipment, visualized production data, transparent production processes, and traceable materials. The factory is expected to be completed and operational by 2024.

As a crucial part of our industrial strategy, Super Factories play a pivotal role in pooling packaging production, recycling, and the R&D and production of renewable materials. The Shanghai Super Factory will collaborate with Yeloworld’s other factories in Zhanjiang, Taixing, Yantai, Fuqing, and Tianjin to create a multi-dimensional network of Yeloworld Super Factories across China. This coordinated approach will enhance the overall efficiency and synergy of Yeloworld’s factory system.

Upgrading Yeloworlds Service

Integrating Recycling, Recovery, and Regeneration

2023 is a pivotal year for Yeloworld. In line with its strategic vision, Yeloworld has refreshed its brand and services, embracing the corporate vision of “helping create a low-carbon world” and its mission to “make plastic, the great invention, great again”. With this, Yeloworld has advanced from its 1.0 era focused on pooling packaging operations to a 2.0 era as a circular economy operator, integrating recycling, recovery, and regeneration.

In the realm of recycling, Yeloworlds pooling packaging has achieved 20 million circulations and is on track to reach 15 million additional cycles in 2023. To date, Yeloworld has secured agreements with 330 leading companies in the upstream chemical industry and has connected over 50,000 enterprises throughout the industrial chain.

Regarding recycling and regeneration, Yeloworld centers on the circular economy, gradually establishing a global recycling network through an AI-driven reverse logistics system. The Super Factories transform waste plastics into modified materials, recycled plastic products, or process them through pyrolysis, ensuring efficient resource regeneration and reuse.

Step by step, great distances are covered, forming vast rivers and seas. For Yeloworld, dedicated to solving plastic pollution and enhancing resource efficiency, it will adhere to the principle of “responsibly producing, consuming, and recycling so that all waste is repurposed without harming the environment or human health”. With a commitment to long-term goals, Yeloworld will continue to follow the path of green and sustainable development.
